At Activists Without Borders, our work is guided by a set of core values that define who we are and how we act. These principles shape every part of our work – from the way we design educational programmes to how we tell stories, build partnerships, and support activism around the world. Our values reflect our commitment to human dignity, compassion, justice, and global solidarity, and they are the foundation for our mission to create a fairer, safer, and more inclusive world for all.

Inclusivity – We believe diversity is a source of strength. We welcome activists from all backgrounds, nationalities, and beliefs, united by a shared vision of justice and equality.

Solidarity – Our power lies in unity. We stand shoulder to shoulder with activists and communities worldwide, supporting each other’s struggles and building a stronger global movement for change.

Humanitarianism – When crises arise, we act with compassion. Our commitment to humanitarian aid and support knows no borders.

Advocacy – We amplify the voices of marginalised communities, ensuring their stories are heard and their rights defended on the international stage.

Global Impact – Our mission reaches across continents. We work for meaningful change that transcends borders and creates a fairer, safer world for all.

Join us on this journey. Together, we are shaping history – one act of activism at a time  – towards a brighter and more inclusive future.

Our values also connect with wider global efforts to address injustice and inequality. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide an international framework for tackling interconnected challenges such as poverty, inequality, climate change, and peace. By aligning our work with the SDGs, we embed our core principles within a broader shared agenda for progress and human wellbeing, while continuing to uphold our independent, ethical approach.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
