HOW WE ARE ORGANISED
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees governs Activists Without Borders and holds overall responsibility for the organisation. The Board sets our long-term strategic direction, ensures strong governance and accountability, and safeguards the sustainability of our work.
Our trustees include founding directors and independent experts who bring a wide range of professional experience and oversight.
Senior Management Team
Our Senior Management Team manages the day-to-day running of the organisation. The team provides leadership, delivers our strategy and oversees the implementation of our programmes, partnerships and projects.
Each member leads a different area of our work while contributing to our shared mission.

Research Team
Our researchers, both students and seasoned experts from across the globe, produce evidence-based studies, reports, and insights. Their work underpins our campaigns and advocacy, ensuring our initiatives are informed, credible, and impactful.
Academy Team
Comprising professors and academic professionals, the Academy Team develops and delivers learning programmes, workshops, and courses that equip people with the knowledge and skills to drive real change in their communities.
Film Festival Team
The Activists Without Borders Film Festival is brought to life by a team of experienced filmmakers and subject-matter jurors. They curate screenings, manage partnerships, and award films that amplify human rights and environmental issues worldwide.
Communications Team
Our communications team combines dedication and expertise to tell the stories that matter. From managing our digital presence to media engagement and storytelling, they ensure our work reaches audiences far and wide.
Advocacy and Campaigns Team
This team is made up of people who have worked with leading human rights and environmental organisations. They design and deliver campaigns that challenge injustice, protect the planet, and promote social change.
